As long as you like getting injected with formaldehyde etc. with some sort of the strain where someone in the lab went eenie meenie minie mo as to what the virus is going to do then go for it! JMHO I know that there are going to be people here who think that they are good but… just do your research and then make a decision.

For me it is a no to vaccines. With an immune system suppressed by steroid shots I want nothing to further set me back. However, since in treatment and with vitamins and supplements I have not had even a cold in three years. But I did get shingles....not fun but I got through it.

I also vote no. Two years ago when I was still trying to figure out it was lyme my PCP said that she 'usually' encourages all patients to get it but since I was not feeling well she didn't want me to get it.

I've never had one and I've also never had the flu or if I did it certainly wasn't bad.

I won't take those vaccines either - the flu shot always made me sick when I was in treatment, and since I don't have anyone elderly or a small child in my home, there's no reason for me to do this. I do stay home more when the flu is rampant in my area, but other than that, it's not affected my life at all by NOT getting the shots.

I can't comment on the Shingles vaccine - I've never developed symptoms of chicken pox or shingles, even though I've cared for a handful of people with each - I'm only a carrier of this virus.

Definitely not.
I don't trust the vaccines. My son only got some of the ones recommended. I weighed the risks with the potential harm of the disease.

Did any of you read the latest on the HPV vaccine? A Dr. has spoken out against it...(they're recommending girls get it at age 9...really? How many age 9 girls are sexually active?)
Dr. Harper was an expert involved in the safety and effectiveness studies of Gardisil and in a recent conference reported on the dangers and ineffectiveness so she could "sleep at night". She said the HPV usually resolves on it's own over time...something I've never heard before.

I've never had flu or shingle shots and never will. I use alternative med to deal with flu bugs.

Yes, I've heard about girls getting that vaccine at a younger age. I'm glad I don't have to deal with that. Girls are developing at a younger age, so that may be part of their reason for doing it earlier. I had my girls on a good diet, so they developed at a more normal rate.

I didn't ask my LLMD, but I'd rather be ill from a shot than have either disease, especially shingles, so I've had both shots, plus a pneumonia shot.

One aunt, who will be 99 this month, has had shingles for at least 10 years, and her doctor says she will probably have shingles forever. She has learned to live with constant pain and with no hope for getting rid of it. And I don't want to have to learn that lesson.

I will be getting mine. I've never had a reaction to it and I'd rather chance a reaction to the shot than have the flu. I really want to stay healthy for work. I really can't justify not getting one

No way, I don't trust the ingredients they put in them and most say there's no proof that they even work.

The lie of the medical community is that a flu shot will somehow protect you from getting the flu. It will not. Any dr. will tell you that "it may reduce the symptoms" and that's what the enclosed flyer on the vaccine says. Please search the CDC website for this info. It is also full of chemicals like formaldehyde etc. etc. and I don't feel like looking this up but it is. So if that's what you want in your body then go ahead. I will stay away. Plus the virus changes as the flu season gets under way so if by some miracle of got they got the strain right just give it a month and it will be completely different and you will have no protection (there is none anyways) whatsoever. Hope this makes sense. With the whole swine flu debacle 12 European countries took the WHO to court. You will not read this in the US paper of course. WHO officials had direct ties to the swine flu manufacturer (is anyone surprised?). I think the main person who was responsible for all the info that WHO distributed about swine flu used to work for the vaccine manufacturer. So there you go.

I think a lot depends on just how low a person's immune function really is as well. With most of us dealing with low immune function due to these infections, I think it's something we should all consider very carefully - but each of us is in a unique situation, so we must make our own choices.
