Prebenacid - long term effects?

I quickly searched the internet...can't seem to find much. But, it's used to treat gout by removing uric acid.
I wonder what it will do to my body...since I'm thinking if I have normal levels of uric acid, then this will reduce them to low level...must affect my body in some way?
We're obviously supposed to have a certain level of uric acid.

Am I worrying for nothing?

I just had blood work done. Haven't seen the results yet. I am going to be able to view my results on-line...just waiting for the "red tape" to be hashed out.
It's new here - if we go to a private lab and register, we can get the results from home.
This option isn't available with our health authority.
I have a standing order to do monthly liver and kidney function tests...hope that's enough to detect anything adverse from the Probenecid.

Even though I haven't found anything "bad" about the Prebenecid...if it's changing what is natural in my body ...it musn't be good, right?
