Ha ha, you guys are soo funny.
I knew I would have a lot of responses, bc everybody loves soap opera installments--even guys.
Healing98, that was a great response, and I suppose you're right, illness is a good test of whether the guy is really going to stick around or not. I like the backpack thing too, but I don't think I'm going to bring up heavy subjects just yet.
And no Healing, there is no way I would ever buy a whole new outfit for a date, regardless! Maybe jeans, I'm not sure.
Trying, I think it's a great idea to take the word, "date," out of it. That way I won't have high expectations.
Trav., you are really funny too: You're no catch but you know what you want! Creek fishing!
Healing, you're right about
the rock vs. the diamond. I think I've finally learned that!! For years, I always went after sexy, good-looking men, and they were all wrong for me. I generally tended to go after the poetic, eccentric type, and boy are they trouble!! A friend of mine said that it was best to go after someone you weren't attracted to!
I don't know if this will be THE guy; perhaps not. He does seem a bit evasive, and I've decided that from now on, I'm going to be direct and honest. Maybe we can start a Lyme internet dating service.
Girlie, you're so funny about
wanting installments. Unfortunately, you're not going to get, "scenes from the next."
Truthfully, I've always envied all of you your husbands and wives. But if it doesn't happen, it doesn't happen. I'm not going to lower my expectations just because I'm alone.
Oh, the "date" is tomorrow, Wednesday. I hope I don't say a bad word, Traveler style, but then, he might have to get used to that too!!
Thanks all, for your enthusiasm.
Margaret
