This has been quit a challenge, and any doctor I tell about
these symptoms, thinks I'm crazy. So, maybe I need to write these down. Granted, I will forget so this seems like a good enough place as any (plus maybe someone here will be able to give more advice or had many of these). These all started about
June last year when I was in Detroit. Some have gone away and some are still lingering. I will list them under "HAD" and "CURRENTLY HAVE". Hopefully I can use this as future reference and will base it off the list in the New to Lyme thread:
HAD
Extreme fatigue after minimal exertion
Low body temperature
Heart palpitations
feeling like you might faint
Libido (decreased)
Noise intolerance
Tremors, trembling (still there slightly though nowhere near as bad)
Feeling too disoriented to drive
Impaired ability to concentrate
Decreased appetite
Nausea
Weight loss
Flashes of light perceived peripherally
Episcliritis
Depression or depressed mood
Frequent crying for no reason
Inability to enjoy previously enjoyed activities
Difficulty falling asleep
Difficulty staying asleep (frequent and/or prolonged awakenings)
Insomnia for 3-4 days
Impotence
"Galloping" cholesterol and triglycerides
CURRENTLY HAVE
Alcohol intolerance
"Brainfog"; inability to think clearly
Hearing changes, often from day to day
Joint or arthritic pain
Light-headedness, feeling spaced-out (Not as much as before)
Muscle twitching (Not as much as before)
Severe muscle weakness (Used to be able to leg press 250lbs, now struggle to do 170)
Tinnitus (ringing/noises in one or both ears)
Liver function impaired; mild abnormalities (Also with Hepatitis B)
Bite your tongue frequently
Dysequilibrium (balance problems)
Impaired coordination
Spatial disorientation
Blurred vision
Wandering or lazy eye
Bruxism (grinding/clenching teeth)
Periodontal disease
Temperomandibular Joint Syndrome (TMJ)
Unexplained toothaches
Arthritic pain that migrates from joint to joint
Loss of tone
Muscle aches (myalgia)
Muscle pain, stiffness, weakness
Stiff neck
Joint Pain
Pain/stiffness at C1-C2 (top two vertebrae)
Anxiety or fear for no obvious reason
New phobias/irrational fears (Manly heights)
Light sensitivity (especially in darker rooms)
Dry, itchy skin (mainly on the inside of the ears)
Frequent urination
Symptoms worsened by extremes of temperature (hot, cold), stress, and/or air travel
I believe this is it! I never felt any of these symptoms before June of 2013. Like I said, sometime in September, I woke up in the middle of the night and found a dead bug near my head. I don't know if it was on me, but I flushed it.
