Hi Girlie, I'm glad you bumped this post up and sorry I missed it before.
Yes, that sounds just like a herx. Remember that a herx is an overload of toxins in the body - and they have the potential to affect every part of the body - nerves, gut, eyes, skin ....everything, even emotionally/mentally.
Rashes and nerve pains quite commonly come and go for many people. I've had all sorts of rashes, except a bulls eye oddly enough, during the course of my treatments.
I had the palms of my hands peel this week. How odd is that? I have no clue what causes it, but this happened during my first go round with Lyme treatment as well.
My poor hubby, I used to go to him in a terrible emotional mess and just start crying when I saw him. he would wrap his arms around me and ask, very gently, "what's wrong, honey?" and all I could do was cry harder and tell him I didn't even know!! I needed a good cry and I was confused as to why myself. I think it's very hard on us to be so ill all the time with something that is so controversial. Not to mention the psychiatric affects that these bacteria can have on us.I've dealt with real rage that was surprising to even me, depression, crying jags for no understandable reason, severe anxiety, and more - until I was healed for those 3 years. That was a wondrous time of my life.
Hang in there and keep on detoxing!! You're healing and stirring those bugs up!
