I didn't get lost...but my purse did!!

I went grocery shopping yesterday. Had my purse in the grocery cart, went to the car and put the groceries in the car, returned the cart.
I got back to the car and realized I didn't have my purse...then I couldn't remember where I had put my cart...there were two cart "parking places" near my car, so I checked both....no purse in any of the carts. Oh, maybe I put it in the car already...nope, it's not there. Now I'm getting a bit panicky - did someone just grab it out of the cart when my back was turned?
So, I thought - maybe someone found it and turned it in...and I walked back into the store...and there was a lady with my purse - getting ready to turn it in as lost....I thanked her for it.

That has never happened to me before...I always have my eye on my purse if it's not over my shoulder. I can't believe how bad the brain fog can be at times...Luck for me, it was an honest lady that found it.

That happened to me some months back, severe panick, cant re all how I found it. Also went crazy after grocery shopping, got home and just knew I had bought eggs. Idrove back to store llooked in the cart, asked the cashier. No luck but cashief told me to get anothef dozen. The more I thought that I thought it strange so I have always wondered did the caxbier forbet to put the eggs on ghe conveyor belt and just did not want to admit. I get so upset over mentallapses cause I feel I am going crazy.

I know - it's an awful feeling. I couldn't even remember where I had returned my cart to - a few seconds earlier....uggh.
I didn't tell my husband...don't even want to admit it out loud that my brain is that bad. :(

I dont know whats worse....gettting lost ourselves or losing a purse!! Crazy enough for me I think it would be the PURSE!! At least we'll find "ourselves" again...just need a minute ;-) Im glad you were able to recover your purse Girlie...as that wouldve been a real headache trying to cancel cards, & replace any that was lost in there!

Def lucky for you that a honest lady found it and there some left in the world :)

Oh Girlie! Hugs! I'm sorry. I understand. I did not lose things until Lyme. It can be do embarrassing. My latest loss was my passport. I know it was in my house, but I could not find it anywhere. I must have thrown it away? - only explanation I can think of.

I keep picturing what the look on my face was...when I was wandering around in the parking lot....looking at all the grocery carts..duhhhhh

Yes it can be funny since nothing was lost I would say...but not so funny if you DID lose your purse!

Of course I dont know what you look like but I kinda got a visual of a girl walking around and someone asks what you're looking for and you say: "my brain....oops, I mean...I lost my purse this time!" ;-)

Hopefully we'll all find whatevers missing soon...Cheers!

The same thing happened to me about 3 months ago! I had left it in the cart when I returned the cart! Thankfully a nice lady saw me do it and chased me down.

It really is scary to think how bad our "fog" can be! People just don't understand how bad it is.

I remember right before I was diagnosed with Lyme, I was in my car, needed to roll down my window, and couldn't remember how to do it shocked   I thought I had lost it for sure!!

It's crazy...and it's making me crazy.


I just wish we could all find the right "mix" and treat it...and be done with it....why does it have to be so hard?

I think sometimes I'm being punished...because before I was diagnosed, I said to my hubby..."if it's lyme, I'll be happy because I have always had such a good immune system...and heal so well"
and after I was diagnosed, I said to my husband that it may take a couple of months to be completely better. hah...at 3 months and counting now...maybe 5% better?
