The doctor I see for LD takes insurance pts but I am thinking of changing doctors so I want to know what the cost would be for LLMD care for a few years, just a general amount?

My RX's would be covered by insurance but the tests & visits will
not. Thanks!

My most expensive dr was a naturopath and she was about $400 visit but that included about 2 months worth of supplements as well. Are you in the DC metro area...forgive me my mind is horrible lately!

My lab tests are covered. At least the ones through "normal" labs. I don't think the insurance status of your doctor affects that. I pay $240 about every 6 weeks. All my prescriptions and tests are covered. Obviously, I have to pay for supplements.

It is not unusual for the first appointment with an LLMD to be $400-$600 (or more), with follow-ups being $200-$300.

LLND's are sometimes less expensive, but not always (there's one I'd like to see but she charges $750 for the first visit & $500 for follow-ups).

So then would you guess about $10,000-$20,000 for a few years of treatment? I need to get some facts beforehand.
And how far out do they usually book appts.?

I paid $200 for my first visit and $140 a month for the follow ups, I guess mine is pretty cheap compared to the others.

I am seeing a new specialist Wednesday, and the initial consult is $900, then monthly visits at $500 a pop. I am paying for IV meds myself as well as weekly nurse visits for dressing changes. thank god for Infuserve's prices! Still, this is taking away from retirement money, but what choice do I have? I feel fortunate I can take this route for now. Don't know how long I can do this though...
