My problem with a protozoal infection may be slightly different than what many of you face, but I've been where you are after getting Lyme in 2007. My last tick bite has really caused issues and had me on a quest to find the answer to my problems. I've experimented with multiple drugs, multiple chemical moieties, and multiple protocols in an effort to find the answer. Each was a learning experience that has enlightened me on life, aging, sickness, and the politics of medicine. I have always been a scientist since an early age and treat everything like an experiment. My high school science project was titled "The use of lithic and ceramic typology and frequency distribution studies to determine the settlement patterns of an inland Ft Walton period site." I use the scientific method as the basis for all I do and have learned an awful lot about what is happening at the molecular level. Everything I have done over the past few years has pointed me in one direction and that direction is that my immune system can not access and kill what I have. I feel like if my immune system sees them, they can kill them. I will be embarking on a new protocol in the near future that will hopefully allow my innate immune system the opportunity to work. I've learned a lot from the other protocols I've done, but they all pointed me to where I'm going. I'll be hitting up on my physician friends for help and hope I can be persuasive enough to get them on board. I'll report back on any success I may find. I really feel good about this one. It could take years to get cured, but I believe I'll see results quickly as it should cause some herxing.
