Hi bjeanconn!
Welcome to our community! I'm so glad you found us.
If you haven't yet, please do read through our 'New to Lyme?' thread that sits at the top of the forum, as it's packed with all kinds of helpful information, as well as detoxing suggestions - and here is another good link:
www.tiredoflyme.com/detox-methods.html While this is not a paper on Lyme disease, it does mention it as a possible cause of narcolepsy:
"In spite of these issues, it is unacceptable to dismiss these patients without providing treatment. Anemia, hypothyroidism, low iron status, infection (viral or Lyme disease), and general causes of fatigue must have been excluded."
/med.stanford.edu/content/dam/sm/psychiatry/documents/narcolepsy/latestnews/Neurotherapeutics20102.pdf page 10.
I'm not sure who believed me before seeing me just fall asleep in less than 5 minutes of sitting down. I actually had 2 different episodes of this - once before I was ever diagnosed with Lyme, and then again afterwards, during the beginning of my herbal treatments - but they both passed within several weeks to a couple of months.
