Another question. I feel like I have an UTI, burning, mild cramping. How can this be if I'm on large doses of antibiotics? I can understand how I got the UTI, massive diarrhea for days. It just doesn't make sense to me.

Get your urine tested, and then you can figure it out.

If your urine is negative, you might want to get checked for interstitial cystitis.

I may be wrong, but I thought it could still happen because the antibiotics we're on aren't targeting bacteria that cause uti's.

I think that's why antibiotics are used to treat c difficile that is caused from too much antibiotics. - just different ones?

I was researching UTIs last night. One of the meds to treat UTIs is amoxy. I'm on 3000mg a day of amoxy.

It could still be a bacteria that is unknown and not targeted. I have been gaving bladder issues for few years. Urinalysis shows somethinv wrong but not figured out yet.

Hi Roxie, thank you for the info. I do find it a little disturbing, I don't want a unknown bacteria. I like the kind everyone else gets. LOL Safety in numbers:) I had a urine test done 8/26/14 and it showed a moderate amount of blood. On one addressed it after that so I didn't think it was a big deal.

Mom of 2 - I've had both wbc and rbc in my urine samples twice in the last year - but no one is too concerned.
