I think how fast abx works depends how long your infection has been. From what I have learned, doxy can be really different for everyone. Some people cant "stomach" doxy. - get nauseated, some throw up ect. Cant use it in the summer sun either, fall now, just saying.
I had no issues with it. BUT I also treated leaky gut and immune support via herbs, probiotics for 5 months before ABX - that was part of a plan because my gut was a wreck. Now i have an iron gut on most days, what a relief.
I was on it with 2 other ABX, so I cant comment on doxy by itself. I herxed three months on doxy, flagle and ceftin, then I started to feel better. People dont usually herx that long or they just cant take it and take a abx break - but after 25 years of infection, whats 3 months of he//? Now I talk better, faster, remember words better, less pain. Still cant spel worth a crap.
remember whaterver you start, you can stop if needed. Biaxin is a good alternative to doxy, easier on the gut and sun light does not matter. It might be less strong though.?
I think I took 300-400 mg per day.
