I am so much more sick with treatment. I feel like I'm not doing the right thing.. trust issues

I am much more miserable than I was in july. This is horrible. I am second guessing treatment. I've hardly started. Maybe I would feel this bad anyway...

I feel like I am closer to death everyday that goes by. There are new symptoms.. old symptoms get worse. My brain is getting really bad. I feel like an idiot. I can't do the simplest things. I don't want to live like this for much longer.

How many months should you try something before you throw the towel in? What if my doc isn't as smart as he thinks he is? What if it isn't Lyme and I'm wasting time? Ugh....

I do teas and lots of lemon for detox. Epsom salt when my skin can stand it. The glutathione is supposed to be great for detox too. I hope I didn't forget anything....

So are you off antibiotics and treating with herbs only?

Yes for right now. I'm getting the beg spray in the mail and it has antibiotics. I have an appt. On the 18th I'm sure I will get prescribed more then. I have no idea what's going to happen. I guess it depends on my test results.

There is so much conflicting information out there. I guess I'm just going to have to trust this doctor and see what happens.

Something is definitely being stirred up. And it's not pretty! I feel just miserable... ugh.

Hi Hon.

I know how you feel. I am going thru the same thing. I began treatment Oct 1st and I feel way worse. Most seem to say that it gets worse before it gets better. My anxiety is sky high, but I'm trying to hang on.

When walking thru the fires of hell, keep on walking. DONT take a seat!

I would agree with Mister Mike - and increase what you are doing for detoxing because having your old symptoms getting worse, and having new symptoms coming on within one, two or three months, it can generally be a herx. I bet a phone call to your doc explaining what's going on would help though!! It could clarify a lot for you.

Ya he said that I have to wait for my appointment on the 18th. He doesn't have all of my test results back until then so he isn't sure what the actual cause of my symptoms are. He said to detox a lot and rest and relax.

It's just so darn hard to wait another couple weeks.. I feel like I'm going to die at least twice a day. I'm pretty sure that's just anxiety... but it's intense. I don't want to admit that I'm as sick as I am. I'm frail and weak and swollen... I just want my life back. I want to be happy to wake up. I've lost my zest for life or whatever. At times I could care less if I just withered away..

I'm too sick to take care of myself even. I just can't think logically or rationally. I want someone to just tell me what to do. I can't think for myself lately... I'm confused about everything and totally overwhelmed..

IHL, I was first diagnosed with Lymes at the end of July 2014. I was taking Samento, enzymes & Citricidal. They told me I would be feeling better in about 10 weeks which was about right! I went back last week & got retested. The Lymes is gone :) I am having residuals from the Lymes which is common & it affected my liver but am taking things for that.

It sounds to me that you are taking the wrong things. Although I'm no doctor, what kind of Dr. are you seeing? I only do holistic medicine & found many people with Lymes are taking antibiotics with no relief! If it were me, I would contact all the holistic doctors/nutrition centers & ask if they treat for Lyme & if they do how do they treat it?
Also what kind of test did you take to diagnose the Lymes?

Also, I first took a blood test in March of this year. It came back negative. Then I found out that 7 out of 10 people tested by blood are actually positive. So my regular holistic doctor referred me to a Nutrition Center that uses Microscopic Testing. They found the lymes right away & they take the holistic approach on everything. Many people with lymes had come in, in wheel chairs & they are out now! So everyone having issues should call around & find who uses microscopic testing. They can detect other issues by this means as well.

Yes everything I am taking is prescribed by my doctor.

He is a Lyme literate naturopathic doctor. I'm not sure what qualifies a medicine to be holistic. Does that mean like... natural? Like vitamins and supplements and stuff? Or basically anything that doesn't come from a pharmacy?

IHL, you have been so sick, what with your sinus issues etc.

It's going to take awhile before you notice a difference.

You may just need a lot of rest.

Geez, I can't believe I just said that!!

That's what I need, duh, is rest!

And I'm not able to walk my talk!

So just rest, take care of yourself, continue your treatments, and stop second guessing yourself!!

Thanks guys. It's so hard to rest when I'm so twitchy and hurt so bad.. keeping up with son makes rest near impossible.. I miss my mom. I wish she could be here to help me through this. At least to watch my son sometimes..
