End of one herx session is one big relief

Last Monday i was at my doc's. Tuesday, i posted on here that i was having a bad herx night with my right hip and right thigh. A few years back, i had a badly broken shoulder which was repaired with 2 titanium screws. I told you that the pain of this sore hip and later thigh was worse than the worst night after i broke my shoulder. When i could not sleep at night, wife suggested i put heat on the problem. I got out the hot water bottle and within 3 nights, that bad herx was history and today i have difficulty even remembering that pain even though it was real bad. I also tried the heat treatment on my right elbow and my right knee. Both of these are many month long problem areas of lyme and both areas are responding to the heat treatment and i sense a bit of an improvement. My knee problem started in February and i was hoping that by the end of every month, my knee inflamation would end and i would be able to walk without pain and without a bad limp. I am optimistic with this heat and maybe by end of November i will have no limp any more. Elbow will take more time though. The pain there means i have no strength at all in my right arm and movements are still limited. Lyme seems to have found a home in that broken shoulder and injured elbow from 8 years ago. It is so strange how Lyme can move around! Just when you rid of it in one spot, it spreads to another! I am so glad that you are finding relief with the heat!

You can also heat the rice socks in the microwave for 2 minutes - just be careful as there is usually steam coming off of them and you can get a steam burn.....ask me how I know. LOL!
