I too wake up some mornings with that same "weighed down" feeling...in fact the last few days I have, and I get it off and on throughout the day too. As far as I know I'm sleeping decent enough, other than waking up once or twice to go to the bathroom.
I would agree with the suggestion of trying something else, if you even decide to take anything for it at all. I take a low dose of melatonin every night and it knocks me right out, and I don't have issues falling back asleep when I do wake up.
I hate that "body fatigue" - that's a good way to describe it! Mine feels like something just goes all down the back of my body, making me feel blah and like I don't have the energy for much, yet don't feel "I need sleep" tired. I have noticed I sometimes feel more energetic and alert when I drink my green smoothie for the day.
