So I TESTED #CDC POS. FOR EHRLICHIA,ANAPLASMA,BABESIA,BORRELIAL/B BURGDORFI.BUT NEG.ON LYME.ALSO MY EBV IS THIS. VIRAL CAPSID VAC IS 5.00 AND NUCLEAR EBNA IS 3.70,ANYONE KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS?IS IT EVEN POSSIBLE TO TEST POS. FOR CO/INFECTIONS AND NOT LYME.THIS WAS DONE BY QUEST LABS. THANKS

Not sure exactly what your question is—
You are positive for lyme, which is the Borrelia Burgdorferi (the strain usually tested). Not sure what your viral results mean but my viral load was through the roof. My LLMD was smart and treated me with antivirals right out of the gate. Took over 2 months to get the viral load down, which is necessary in order to free up your immune system to help fight the lyme so that sequence is important.

Also, testing "CDC-positive" is like the holy grail for insurance purposes so congratulations! I say that a little sarcastically because I'm sure that diagnosis was hard to hear. But you're in good company here...

So was that a misprint in your post? As it says in your first post that you tested positive for 3 co-infections and "BORRELIAL/B BURGDORFI" - that's Lyme disease in the strictest sense.

As for the EBV, 97.7% of all people in the U.S. carry this virus, but it's not active in everyone, but can reactivate when the body had to deal with something like Lyme.

It does seem to be a positive result, and you may need to have antivirals, but it's not usually a big deal for most Lyme patients to heal from at the same time as they treat their tick-borne infections.

It is very rare to have all those co-infections and not have Lyme. The tests look for anti-bodies to the disease in question. This probably just means you are not producing anti-bodies to Lyme (Borrelia burgdorferi) which is very typical of someone with co-infections. Or the test is not sensitive to the strain of Lyme you have (there are many strains just in the US alone).

Have you started treatment yet?

Quest is one of the worst for accuracy with these tests, so if they say that you have "been exposed" to Bb, then through a lab that actually uses the right things to do the test you would likely test positive.

You can have a WB run through Igenex or Stony Brook Labs - or just understand that you have Lyme as well.

So that you are aware, 200 mgs of Doxy a day won't treat Lyme. At that dosage, it only keeps the bacteria from replicating, it won't kill it. Although, your doc may be starting you off slow and plans on building up the dosage. It would be best for you to ask. If they have no plans on raising your dose, you would have to stay on it for life to benefit.
