I have been suffering with lyme for 1 year. I was on antibiotic for 8 months did not do well. went on iv peroxide got better now seem to be doing bad.

I took jernigan protocol doing better until dr sara stopped borrelegen. fixing to start back on it. but what I have noticed if I don't pulse azithromycin I get to where I can't function again.

everytime I take iv peroxide once a weekly I cough and cough and it helps it is like it is loosening something in my lungs or killing it. I believe I have babesisa.

I could not tolerate mepron. has anyone bought the book my schaller on babesia and what is the current best treatment for it? I have read now, that clindamycin with azithro and bactrim is good plus cryptoleptis, and artemimesia. I have read 7 to 10 days of clindamycin and quinine is good but poorly tolerated.

please share what has helped you. I have even read where your blood is exchanged.

I have had Lyme and babesia for 3 years and been on malarone for babesia for several months...which I can completely understand not tolerating it...doc even just upped my dose. I have been bed bound ever since he added minocycline to my regimen. I Hope you find something that replaces mepron for you. I look forward to following this. Babesia is a nightmare...chin up ;)

So sorry to both of you. I have Babesia as well. But I've just started my IV treatment for lyme. LLMD is going to increase abx a couple times and likely add in a new abx and then put me on mepron or malarone. For now, I'm taking herbs for Babesia and Bartonella.

Have you tried Malarone?

Our daughter used malarone for several months and had noticeable improvement in cognitive and executive function, but no real resolution of symptoms remaining after 2 years abx treatment for bartonella (we didn't know babesia was involved because all testing for it was negative). When we discontinued malarone, the cognitive/executive function difficulties re-emerged.

The addition of low (1/4) doses of Buhner's complete babesia protocol to the bartonella protocol has finally brought resolution of all symptoms. We continue herbal treatment.

Malarone only helped me a little, but I'm going to try to go back on it, bc my Babs has gotten so bad.

I HATE Babs and Bart. The hot sweats, rubbery legs, weakness, and insomnia seem almost unbearable when they cycle through.

I've heard both Babs and Bart cause hot sweats, and I've tested positive for both, so it's a bit confusing, esp. since I seem to get a Bart rash almost exactly at the end of the (Babs?) cycle.

I've been told not to use Dr. Sara, but to use Dr. Jernigan (protocol-wise at least).

I'm not on that protocol, but I've heard mostly good things about it. It's $$$!

I wasn't making any headway against Babesia until I started Byron White's A-Bab. It really knocked me for a loop but now I am functioning at 99%.

What dosages of A-Bab are you using? A-Bart brought nothing but herxing for our daughter, but I did manage to get her to 25 drops BID for 6 months. Symptoms improved to 80%, but she was also on combo abx at the time. I just have the feeling that it was the abx that caused the improvement and not the A-Bart.

Now that we know babeisa is involved as well, I am considering trialing A-Babs. Are you using any of the BW detox remedies?

achieving grace where can you get byron white products? I also have buhner's book and plan on starting on herbs for babesia. I have not tried malarone. or lariam has anyone had success with these medications?

I'm up to 20 drops twice a day. It took me five months to get here. The herxes were violent but increasingly short. I am taking clindamycin and tindazole as well. I am not using any of the BW detox ormulations.

Mystery1 -- you have to get them through a doctor or practitioner.
