1. Please describe some background on your current situation, as in your age/living situation/occupation.
2. Can you tell me what that was like when you first had your illness? For example, what symptoms did you notice at first? And how did you come to be diagnosed?
3. What was your reaction to receiving the diagnosis? Your loved ones’ reaction?
4. Did you experience any problems dealing with the medical community (nurses, doctors, etc.) or your insurance during the initial phase?
5. What kind of adjustments/changes did you have to make once you were aware of your illness?
7.What symptoms have been the most troublesome to deal with and what area(s) of your life would you say have been the most affected by this illness?
8) Have the people in your life offered you any support around your illness? What has been the most helpful to you in coping with your illness?
