I have had irritated eyes since all my symptoms started. They are worse in the morning and my eyelids are puffy when I get up. I have tried several types of eye drops/eye gel but they all seem to make the irritation worse. Does anyone else have this symptom? Have you found anything that helps? I am currently taking Cytomel twice (5mg) a day and Pekana detox drops. My eyes seem worse since I started taking them. Thanks.

For me, it's an indicator of how well my thyroid is working - or not. The red, irritated eyes that I get are generally relieved by using eye drops without boric acid which is used as a preservative in many eye drops.

I have this really bad. A black tea bag soaked in warm water and then put on your eyes might help. I used to do it before work so people wouldn't think I was up all night haha. Also you can put a spoon in the freezer and then put it on the bags. Neither of these works SUPER well, but it does help some.
