So sorry that you are experiencing such difficult symptoms, xfmlg. These are hard days, aren't they? I've cried at least once every day over the past 3 wks. I feel I may have just gone insane. ;)
You do need to take time out every now and then to feel what you're feeling, let it wash over you. If you try to squelch those very powerful emotions they will find a way to fester inside you. You/we definitely need emotional support—as much as you/we need physical support. In fact, I think my psychological
"terrors" I call them—are far worse than the physical pain, discomfort, and inconveniences. I can talk myself through the pain—but how do you talk yourself through all the crazy? So so so difficult.
Yes, it is most definitely the lyme speaking—so just acknowledging that means you have the upper hand. I think that's one of the things that makes this forum so invaluable—you can come online and post your concerns or thoughts or fears… and very quickly you are reminded you are in great company. I think it has pulled me out of a couple of very dark moments.
I hope you get a good night's sleep and build up your strength to fight another day tomorrow. When you get past this treatment… you can then focus your energy on healing your relationships. For now, you come first. ;)
