Based on what I read on this message board, I began using Buhner's protocol in early August. A month later, I had my first LLMD appointment.
Dr. C. put me on diflucan for two weeks and nystatin (6 pills/day) plus an anti yeast and food allergy diet for three months. He prescribed DHEA, vitamins, an energy formula and enzymes.
The long-term plan was to treat the Lyme after the yeast overgrowth was under control. My second LLMD appointment was early Dec., and Dr. C. could hardly believe the improvement, as most of my symptoms were gone. He put me on another strong anti fungal and prescribed another four months of nystatin (6 pills/day). And, although he still believes I have Lyme, he says that I am responding so well to this diet that he doesn't want to treat the Lyme unless I develop more symptoms. And he wants me to continue the yeast treatment for another 4 months.
I didn't mention that I'm doing the Buhner protocol, but I did tell him that I'm on a bunch of supplements.
I'm not sure whether to celebrate or to to be concerned.

If I were you, I'd be celebrating the improvement...
And I do think you should tell your LLMD that you've been doing the Buhner protocol - he needs to know what you've been doing and how you have responded to the Buhner protocol so he can take that into consideration when he decides what to do to treat you...

Thanks, Razzle, for the advice. I had forgotten where I got the supplement list and I actually forgot that I was doing the Buhner protocol. I was hoping to find a way to get better while waiting three months for the first LLMD appointment. And I did improve quite a bit, even before my first appointment.

Congratulations, Miss. Jane!!
I would agree with Razzle in that you need to let your doc know what you have been taking..... but you deserve that happy dance!!!!
Congrats again on feeling better!!!

Thanks, Traveler. You probably don't remember, but I'm seeing Dr. C. in MS.
