Cherylfelice, so sorry that you had a bad night. From the symptoms that you described, you should look for a cardiologist as soon as possible. You need to get that heart checked out before anything else happens.
An LLMD can help you deal with the source of the problem but a cardiologist can deal with keeping your heart ticking. I think that is a priority, at least until you can find an LLMD. A cardiologist might be able to prescribe antibiotics if your heart symptoms merit it. Not all doctors are clueless, so you might be able to find one that can treat you properly.
By the way, how is it that you know that your heart rate is super low? are you checking yourself with a blood pressure monitor? If so, what is your average heart rate? Are you comparing during different times of the day?
I ask because the act of waking up can by itself raise your blood pressure. Waking up with anxiety WILL raise your BP up in a hurry. Your cardiologist can prescribe an event monitor that you wear for a month and can get to the bottom of the problem. Whether it is a malfunctioning valve, a leaky valve, heart block, etc. An LLMD will not be able to help you with this.
Think of specialist as short term and LLMD as long term.
