My daughter just called me and wondered if I was sending out cards for Christmas and I told her it is just another day to me.
And who knows if I will even be feeling well enough to do anything.
Well, she just didn't get it.
So I am thinking I can not be the only gloomy gal around! Do you feel that way too?

I think I just feel sorry for myself cause I missed out on a special
Christmas gathering at church today--and my little granddtr
was going to be there too. I just feel like I miss out on most things and when I try to force myself to get ready I just don't have the energy or strength to get dressed and get to the car and then walk to the church. Even if I used a w/c I still could not shower and get ready and then have to be sociable---ugh!!!!!!


(Yet when I do feel better I can do these things and not be at l00% but at least at 70%--so that is something. It's just not often enough and I am afraid to hope for more progress.)

Sorry for this long rant!

Holidays are VERY tough. Very tough. Usually, taking life one day at a time. Over the holidays—it's one hour at a time.

You are not alone—I don't blame you for feeling that way. Some days it is indescribably difficult to engage. You used 80% of your energy just to get to a point where you can get out the door, there's nothing left. I hope your family can find a way to share the holidays with you—maybe in an unconventional way but in a way that requires less from you.

Boy, do I have a different perspective on chronic illness after this experience. I'm forever changed—and I'm grateful for this understanding.

Find a little peace in the holidays… I am missing out on just about everything—but at the same time, I have slowed down fir the first time in a couple decades. And it may be forced upon me but it's also kind of a treat not to be jamming myself up with 18-hr days.

Its hard when evryone seems so happy, and having so much fun during the holidays....and u r stuck feeling sick...
...but beieve it or not, i do think holidays r tough for many, think i heard that Suicide rates go up abput this time. So many people appartently feel gloomy
