So have you had abx? You said he gave you no abx - are you talking about
more abx, or that you have had none yet?
Since you have so few options....
When you call, do they ask if they can put you on hold? If so, say no-(same if they say someone will call back, say no) then explain that you are continually left on hold and get no response and you need a response. Some times the office staff isn't nearly as compassionate as the doctors. I had a top notch Gastro a while back, but his office staff s*cked. He told me to call in if a, b, & c happened because I needed to be in an emergency room and when it did happen - as he predicted, the office staff didn't get any message to him at all!! I tried 6 times the first day, the second day, I tried 4 more times - on the third day, I walked into his office unannounced and created quite a ruckus because I wanted him to know what his office staff was doing to him. He came out when he heard it all, and I made sure he heard it all!! He fired the head of the office and I never went back. So don't let them intimidate you - you are paying for their services.
If they do manage to put you on hold because they ignore you, as soon as you are put on hold, hang up and call back - keep doing this- but being polite the whole time - you will get answers. I've done this and as long as I'm very polite about
it, I usually get what I need.
To get your mind set for this, realize that you will likely be put on hold a few times, but have a nice cup of tea (or water) near you and be in a comfy spot - and keep at it.
Otherwise, it may be time to try alternative medicine. You can email me and let me know where you are and I can look to see what I have for referrals.
