Phantom smells and sounds....Anyone?

Does anyone get phantom smells and sounds?

The other night I heard what sounded like my car horn. I got up and sneaked down to the garage and outside to check all the vehicles for an intruder. Sometimes I hear a man's voice. I can't hear what's being said but I hear the voice. Other times it sounds like a radio is on.

I smell a woman's perfume. The first time it happened was 18 years ago, when my husband and I were first dating. I got out of bed and sniffed around the room trying to it's source. With no luck in finding the source, I concluded that it must have come in through the window. Then it happened again but the windows were closed.

These have been happening throughout the years. Thankfully, it doesn't happen frequently and it only last for seconds.

It does make one question their sanity.

I have heard phantom voices and my phantom smell is an electrical burning type smell. I've wandered all over the place making sure there is no fire!

It will go away with treatment.

Ha! Perfume hunh? Did you think some woman had gotten too close to your husband!!??

I completely forgot about the electrical burning smell. I have checked my house so many times, worried we could have an electrical issue. I do have reason for this though. We had a lightning strike about 11 years ago that blew a ton of stuff in the house. It blew every garage door opener on our road. It shattered a tree about 100 feet from the house and melted the underground electrical box . It was so loud I thought it hit the house. I had my husband go outside to make sure the roof wasn't on fire.

Oh yes I did! I was questioning my previous thoughts on he was Mr. Wright. But when it continued I knew it wasn't real. He is my Mr. Wright.

I used to have phantom smoke odor. I was always asking if anyone else smelled it and they didn't.
