Houttuynia tea herx question

For those of you using Houttiynia tea to treat bartonella, please tell me what kind of herx you had on it. What were the aymptoms and how sever and how long did it last?

I am ready to slowly ramp up the houtt. tea- I will start with weak tea and over the days see how I do.

since I have been having these unpleasant breathing episodes lately, I hope that doesn't act up when I start adding more houttuynia.

Can you please share your experiences with me?

Our symptoms with too large doses of houttuynia included palpitations, panic attacks, agitation, and in the case of our daughter, increased motor ticcing as well.

From what I could tell, she had no symptoms of babesia appear with houttuynia (air hunger, chest pressure, sighing, dry cough, thigh muscle pain). Those all appeared when we started CSA.

For me, I had really intense stomach pains. Like had to manually lift my legs up b/c my stomach hurt so bad I couldn't move. It might depend on where the bart is residing in most people too.

Like rowing mom, hh tea was too strong for me when I was also on abx and it gave me palpitations.

My herxes were pretty short though which was nice.

overlap question from my other thread-- do you think it is important to be on the houttuynia at the same time as the rifampin for long enough to get it in my blood before stopping rifampin?

Or is it fins just to stop the rifampin and go to the houttuynia? I am already on a lot of other herbals at pretty high doses for 2 weeks now, so there is a lot of good stuff in my blood already,just not the houttuynia yet,

Honestly houttuyunia is so strong I would wait to start it (from a personal standpoint). The interesting thing was after a long enough time on the abx when I switched to HH tea - I had no reaction at all so I stayed on it for a month or so then stopped. Tried it again at pretty high doses a few months later, also no reaction. Not necessarily a bad thing when you don't get a reaction!

I have been waitng to start houttuynia for a while- and I don't know what I am waiting for anymore!
If Bartonella is my worst issue, it is time for me to start treating it. I did 6 months of rifampin already and it only got me so far.

Also it is interesting because I have the Lyme Disease and modern Chinese medicine book by dr Zhang-- I was just re reading it tonight. He uses ( according to this book) allcin ( garlic) and HH ( Houttuynia capsules) as his first line of treatment for lyme and co infections.

It is strange to me that some people like my very well educated llmd and the very lyme literate person I did the phone consult with are not familiar with this as part of treatment.
