Help with thyroid medications or herbs

Which tests did you get done? Just the TSH? Hopefully you had all thryoid tests done, including T4, Free T3, Reverse T3, etc. It depends on the dr. Most endo's I know, are very conservative and wont treat if it's still in the "normal" range. I was the same as you, but my LLMD still put me on thyroid med (Naturethroid). You might want to get another opinion.

Have you had your adrenals tested? From what I'm told, saliva is the best test, not blood or urine. My adrenals seemed fine, but I was having adrenaline surges-especially in the am, and anxiety. I'm on herbal adrenal support, I forget the name of it though.

If you have hypothyroid, then the TSH is usually high, with T3 and T4 being low.

Was your TSH low normal, too? Do you have a copy of your test results?

For adrenals - I had a 24 hour urine test done...it measure several things, including cortisol. The problem with that one is it doesn't tell you what time you are high or low, etc. It is one collection for the 24 hours.

I have done some testing through ZRT Labs - they do saliva collection for adrenals. I didn't test my adrenals with them, only my progesterone and estrogen. But I am considering having my adrenals and thyroid function done through them.
