New to this support group and am concerned about new LLMD treatment

Happy Holidays to all. I have had to get a new Doc because my previous one retired. the new one is using my past advice on Vanco IV but is also including Invanz along with it. Now she is wanting to put tindemax in the grouping. I have tested positive for Borellia and Bartonella and stress triggers flair ups every year or two. Is this Too much treatment??

Has your new doc had a chat with your old doc, then met with you to discuss the treatment plan? Very important for your peace of mind to do this.

Re: your abx regimen. Go for it, hit it fast and hard, detox vigorously, keep loading in probiotics, and stay alert for side effects/herx symptoms. Keep a symptom journal and share it with your doc at office visits, and adjust fire as needed.

If you haven't yet, please do read through the "New to Lyme? Start here!" thread as it's packed with important information including symptom lists, detoxing instructions, and even probiotic information.

I'm not completely familiar with all the different abx combinations that get used for these infections, but for someone to be on three at a time isn't unusual. I'm sure that others that are much more familiar with the specific abx that you are talking about will be along shortly to help answer your questions.

im on 4 different abx, bactrim, doxy, tindamax and IV Rocephine. Like Traveler says, DETOX! I also, try to eat healthy and protect my gut with lots of probiotics.

I too was worried about taking so many abx, but my LLMD is pretty agressive and I trust he knows what he is doing. Fingers crossed.

I wouldn't think that's too much treatment. Just make sure you detox.

Ok, thanks for the advice. by detoxing you are referring to Lots of water?

When we refer to detoxing on this forum we are usually talking about the things that are listed in the "New to Lyme? Start here!" thread that sits at the top of the forum. A few things that are listed there and that we talk about here:

Epsom Salt & peroxide soaks
Dry skin brushing
Drinking lots of lemon water
Oil pulling
Taking 'binders' - things that bind to toxins like activated charcoal or cholestryamine.
FIR sauna

ok, been about 4.5 weeks on the vanco and Invanz. Just started on adding tinedemax. Arthritis is gone, still some weakness but a little better but still have tingling and occasional burning in legs. Any suggestions for this?

As usual, you've been given great advice already.

Glad to hear you've had some improvements!

The reason we detox is to help rid our bodies of the toxins released by the dying bacteria. If we don't detox, those toxins can stay in our system and wreak havoc - possibly even setting the stage for the development of autoimmune disease.

I recently started a detox product called pinella which helps with neurological symptoms such as tingling/burning. We can take up to 10 drops 3x/day.

I started with 5 drops once/day and slowly increased the dose. So far, 10 drops twice/day has minimized my symptoms.

I've found Alka Seltzer Gold to be helpful and you can buy it online. It's Alka Seltzer without the aspirin and is made in Germany.
