Will my hands look like this forever?

Some of you might remember the trouble I had with my hands. The skin was literally cracking off and they bled everyday for close to 3 years. I'm pretty sure it was the ACA rash. My hands looked exactly like the pictures you find on google.

Now that they have finally healed a bit and aren't bleeding anymore the skin is still different. Right at my wrists the skin goes back to normal. My hands are completely purple and.... shiny? The skin is just way different. My joints still swell at times but I'm not very far into treatment so I'm not surprised.

It looks to me like they are scarred. Like both of my hands are just big scars. Not one area on them besides my palms were untouched by whatever was wrong with them. They just look ugly and sad. And they still get super stiff and weak. I'm hoping this will improve with time.

Has anyone been through this? Any thoughts? I put Calendula oil and the Lyme rub I got my from my doc on them. If they are just scars I hope the calendula will help make them look somewhat normal.

I'm thinking about finally having our wedding this year. And I don't want ugly hands hands for it hahahaha! We are going on 9 years, maybe we should wait until our 10th anniversary. That would be kind of cool. Just as long as I feel healthy first!

I'm definitely going to ask my doctor about it. They are pretty dang ugly now :(
