I don't think it's controversial at this point, it is just waiting until mainstream medicine can catch up to the scientific studies that have been done.
Bart, yes. Bart is probably more readily transmitted than Lyme is as it is an aerobic germ and isn't bothered at all by oxygen. Also bart exists in the saliva of infected animals. There was a couple who experienced this occur, where one partner had Lyme and Bart, the other partner got the exact same thing. Also for bart to be transmitted it needs to land itself on a thin mucus membrane like your lips, inside of the mouth, probably the genitals, and or probably an open cut.
Babesia is a different story though. To be honest I doubt babesia can be easily transmitted person to person. But it can be transmitted through the blood supply. Babesia tends to stay mainly in the blood and is also a much larger organism (a parasite) than the bacterial infections.
