Well, the problem is that a nymph tick is as small as the period at the end of this sentence. And, tick's aren't the only insects that can carry these infections because they are now so prevalent in humans everywhere. So if you have ever been bitten by a mosquito, bed bug, chigger, deer fly, horse fly, sand fly, spider, ant, or several other insects, you could have gotten this infection.
