Chest tightness/discomfort alarming me.

I really can't put my finger on what this is from. I've been having upper left(bellow the collar bone/ above the peck kind of) chest tightness for a while now on and off and it recently came back kind of bad today.


I had a good ekg back in October so I don't know what to think, I was only bitten less than a year ago, do you think that lyme got so into my tissues that it is causing this or something? It is kind of alarming me and I'm not sure what to think, it feels like it's the heart but it is not exactly near the heart, I had it last night and slept through it fine though.


The only relief I get is from maybe 300 mg aspirin, but then it either disappears or comes back, I just really can't be being teased by this cause if I had a good ekg and doctor said my heart looks good then what can it be, did the lyme get real deep into my tissues to cause this?

Have you been diagnosed with babesia? This sound like air hunger to me...

DZF - I had similar pain in November - actually, it felt like an elephant was sitting on my chest and I just could not breathe/ take deep breaths. It was so alarming that I went to the doctor and she had me do blood work and then a stress test at the hospital. Turns out I am fine?? The pain slowly went away. I know that when I am under real stress my body reacts in weird ways - I am sure the Lyme has a field day(s) when we are feeling quite stressed. I was stressed in November and this week is another stressful period for me and this time, instead of the crushing chest pain I am getting feelings of waves going through my head. I cannot fall asleep because of this on off "waves" wonkiness and I am so nervous. It is just all too overwhelming.
I hope your pain subsides quickly, check your stress level - could be causing it, too.

I have not been diagnosed with babesia, it could be though, I tested negative for it but those tests are worthless. Anyway yea it's just kinda worrying me as it started last night, I took acetaminophen to relieve it a bit so I am hoping that kicks in soon, so many symptoms and something different every day makes it hard to point a finger on which infection is causing what.

I have chest pressure too. The osteopath I see told me that the muscles in my chest have tightened up and moved my heart slightly out of place. He works on this and it helps. I wore the Holter monitor but nothing showed up. It's a very uncomfortable feeling but it's not painful.

My husband has been having the same thing for about 5 yrs now. His EKG a few yrs back showed he has a branch bundle block which is an electrical problem with the heart. On some of my readings about Lyme I saw where it can be caused by Lyme disease. His EKG and 3 stress tested showed nothing in the past, said his heart looked good and he should never have any heart issues until this showed up.

I had similar pain and discomfort and it went away for the most part after I took a good quality multivitamin that my doctor recommended.

I too had this weird chest ache and it started with sore ribs on one side then the other side but was just occasional. Then I got soreness in the middle of my chest like bruising. So I did go to my PCP and he said it was costochondritis and gave me an anti-inflammatory for it. I take that when this acts up.

(I thought it was best to have any chest stuff checked out
more than usual)
