They need to be told that they are completely wrong about point number 5.

Otherwise, yes, it's a pretty good article.

Good Morning America made the same mistake when reporting her story on Sunday. That error was cut from the tape when they told the story again on Tuesday.

She was treated about two years ago at Sponaugle Wellness. I'm curious if she didn't do follow up care. She was much much better and than relapsed.

Speaking of her, now they got a couple articles out, saying that she doesn't have Lyme, one even calling it a 'fake' disease, basically trying to disprove everything. Real sad, but not at all a surprise.

But, hey, at least it's getting out there more, right? Can't quell the truth forever.

I sent a tweet to the magazine that is giving Dr Stuart a voice.

My standard response to someone like Dr Stuart is if he is so sure it doesn't exist then get bite by multiple infected ticks and do nothing, take nothing and get back to the Lyme community in a year or two. Until that time STHU, please. I would hate to be rude.

I have always said the same thing about those "doctors". I want to say to them "If you are so confident that 28 days of abx works for anyone diagnosed with Lyme, and it is hard to catch and easy to treat, then you ought to be the first one to volunteer yourself to science and allow a bite. Hang back a couple of years and then we will give you 28 days of your abx to prove your point. What? No volunteers? But what's the harm??

Also would like to say that after reading the article and the reply posts, I am so saddened. I am glad people are able to speak up, but some of the stories are absolutely heartbreaking! I feel like I am watching Under Our Skin for the first time all over again.

I have made comments on recent online magazine articles on Yolanda's story, trying to educate the general public, but what else can we do? What can we do to fight the insurance companies and raise more public awareness? Can we put together lists of suggestions and ideas and resources and keep it as a sticky in the forum for all to read? Or has this been done already and I have missed it??

I don't know how long I will fight this disease, but when I have more good days than bad, I feel a sense of obligation to speak out on the behalf of those who are severely struggling. Those who are bedridden, hopeless, and have lost their sense of self worth and forgotten who they were before their health was destroyed. I want to help, but just not sure I know the best and most effective way to go about it.

OK lymies—— That "Dr SAUNDERS" is not a doctor. Click on his name—he's a blogger. What a complete joke. Get on there and add some comments calling out the b.s.

Yeah, it breaks my heart. I wonder how much longer they'll be able to keep this up? I always tell people, we are living proof, yet, because of the titles, doctor, scientist, pharmaceutical company, whatever, a lot of people would rather put their faith in them.

But, I mean, one real, concentrated look at us, and they would see. It's crazy.

edit: keep doing what you can, guys. It may not amount to much on a major level right now, but every person you win over is gonna be another fighting alongside you.

In time, this stuff's gonna get too big to ignore. I'm amazed they can still do it, even today. But, a couple few years from now, I'd be questioning reality. Like, is this happening?

You know, that rings true for more than just Lyme too. World needs a lot of changes, and more and more people are gonna wisen up to that. They have to. Things like the power of evil, deceit, and regression, just to generalize, can't be a constant forever. That can't be our future. While some are content with walking that path, whether just ill at heart or they don't know any better, there is an ever growing sect of people out there that have eyes for the flaws in the world, and they're going to try and bring about a shift. The worst is yet to come, but, again, that is the war.

So, until then, though I know most of us are often very weak and out of it, some may not even live to see the change that they, we need, as sad as that is to say, or the bulk of the conflict to come, just gotta do what you can, while you can.

Pirouette I will happily go on twitter with that info. Yolanda Foster has been very responsive with people who also have Lyme and "Dr. Saunders" post was to people magazine regarding the article they wrote on Lyme disease and what she is dealing with.

She has a much louder voice than we do because of who she is but even more so because of her husbands contacts.

Imo the more conversation about Lyme the better.
