Ok, so putting my two cents in . IMO (oh, I hardly ever use or know how to use those letters, just learning how to text!). I have studied boxes till I'm cross eyed. GLUTEN FREE does not mean low carbs and sugar.
It looked the same to me. So, if there is no allergy, it's no different.
We were told no sugar, no carbs, no yeast. Boy did my dr. flip last blood test ( I go often for me heart, or he just likes to see me :) as I love to tell him, since I'm a pain like his wife:) ). He said your cholesterol dropped 210 to 185, what the heck are you doing! LYME DIET I told him - we are all doing it in our house since my son is so sick and I don't want the stuff around for him to get in the middle of the night when his sleep is flipped!
So, meat, chicken, fish, veggies, whole wheat tortillas from costco, condiments or olive oil and cheese to make it all bearable :)
But Gluten free, expensive and lots of carbs! Just my opinion though, I'm not a dr., just a mom of four, two with lyme, one with MAJOR psych issues - so getting him better is critical to our survival.
