My lab value for C4a was flagged HIGH.

What does this mean?

I think it has something to do with high levels of inflammation in your body. I've heard that lots of people with Lyme will have high levels of C4a...I did (or do)!

So, it has to do with inflammation?

Give me a few minutes to figure out how to edit the link. It absolutely drives me nuts when sites prevent you from linking to them!!! UGH!! And a Lyme site to boot!!! Grrrr!!!!

Well, there is no way that I can figure out to link to that site. I don't understand why Lyme sites refuse to allow people to link to their site????? That's why I keep saying that we are all in this together, seems that some just don't get that part either.

You will have to copy and paste this link -sorry for all those that are doing this on tablets and phones that won't do this!

My doctor says the C4a is a great marker because it's only high for specific problems - Lyme, mold, HIV, acute pancreatitis, and extreme over-exercise.

Mine is always high.

Say, I was wondering the same thing! The labcorp here doesn't do it, but I think they can order the kit.

Can someone explain what sedimentation is? My levels of that, whatever it is, were off.
