Hopefully someone else will chime in regarding the constipation. My issues are diarrhea so I'm too far off that path to help probably.
Regarding the Nystatin—you already had the test. If the yeast/fungus is in your stool, it is in your gut, right? Well, the Nystatin treats your gut directly. The powder actually coats your mouth, throat, upper GI, stomach, lower GI ——all through your alimentary canal. No other anti fungal can do this.
The diflucan, however, goes into your stomach, dissolves and seeps through the stomach organ and into the bloodstream. So it is effective systemically but does nothing for your GI tract.
Llet her know that you've done your homework and yeast in stools is indicative of local Y/F overgrowth and you need a local anti fungal as well as the Diflucan. And let her know that you want the
pure nystatin powder 1,000,000 units and then find a compounding pharmacist who will fill the Rx. This is a good site for dosing info that you can share with her:

You can also share this info with her:
www.holistichelp.net/blog/what-is-the-most-effective-antifungal/Very soon I will have my post for the "New to lyme?" thread finished… it's a whopper but has a lot of good info and resources that are essential for those of us who suffer from Y/F overgrowth. MDs and NDs do not understand Y/F treatment for some reason—another area of health we have to be very knowledgeable and proactive about
