I love my doctor. And I like my new treatment plan.
So I'm going into my 5th month of treatment. He said that my labs are better and I look better than I did when we first met.
He said he doesn't keep people on antibiotics for more than 4 to 6 months straight without a break. So he is upping my dose for the next 3 weeks, he warned me it probably won't feel good. But after that I wont take any antibiotics for up to 8 weeks. Then I'll start one week on 2 weeks off. He wants me to detox like crazy while I'm on the medication vacation. He thinks my bacterial load is really high so he doesn't feel comfortable having me on a ton of stuff until my MTHFR results she'd some light on what is actually going on.
He added A-myco from Byron white. He said the Byron white formulas are extremely effective in his experience and it will whoop me if I'm not careful. I'm starting with one drop twice a day and he said I'll likely have to go down to a half drop once every other day.
I'm on more liver support and he added some lung support. He said he wants me to start nebulizing this garlic compound with antibiotics to really get the mycoplasma out of my lungs. So that's interesting!
What else...... um... oh ya for the next 3 weeks I'll be taking plaquenil. He said it makes the azithromycin work better. I'm really really happy that I get such a long break from abx!!! I don't know if a lot of doctors do this. he doesn't like to deplete people or make them too sick while they are trying to heal. Slow and steady with aggressive treatment very briefly and then complete breaks. Yay!
I'm impressed! He is so thorough! And he is taking my bladder issues really seriously. And my jaw he thinks it is actually breaking down. I'm going to the dentist on the 5th to have it evaluated.
I'll probably remember a few more things as my brain processes everything. what do you guys think??

I think you have a doctor that is good for your needs! Does he have you doing detoxing while you're on ABX too? I would assume so. I hope his plan for you will work out. I'll be curious to hear how the lung treatment works out.
I wish you the best!

I think breaks in abx treatement is good. Some drs do it because they believe that the bacteria will come out in the "break for abx". Then, you attack it again when the break is over and it is easier to get to it. It will also give your gut and organs a clean out break.
I think detoxing like crazy is what you need. Don't know what the MTHFR is. Nice that he added liver and lung support. My dr didn't do any of that! I'm glad that you are optimistic and that your dr put your mind at ease.
Question: What does he think is causing that mucous stuff coming on your face and back and are you going to continue to be on the med that's causing it?

He thinks the mucous stuff is from mycoplasma. Just based on that he wants me to do more for my lungs and detox a lot more. Of course detox the entire time. But take a lot more detox things while I'm on my breaks from abx. I think the point is to kill a bunch and then clear the toxins and then do it all over again while giving my organs a break.

IHL - Good news that the lab results are better and you look better. I know that people are telling me I look better than I did 6 months ago. That definitely means something!
Sounds like you're more confident now - and that's great!
The break up to 8 weeks is something I haven't heard of before. I feel like I'm ready for a break, too. The bacterial load won't increase and set you back to starting point?

Wow! I think that's great and he made you feel comfortable with the plan. I think your panic level will decrease, too. Not easy to get that stuff off your body and I immagine quite annoying but it has to go! After you get rid of most of it, you will breath and feel better and it will be so much easier to move on. Take baby steps and you will be ok! Sometimes mirracles come slowly. But you are commited to the plan so the mirracles will come :)

I guess not because I'll still be on herbals. And a lot of them!! It should certainly be enough to keep everything in check.

Thanks guys!! It really makes a difference if you have confidence in your doctor and trust in yourself. A positive attitude and good mood go a really really long way! I'm supported by my friends and family too which is absolutely huge.
It sucks to be sick. I was sick for years and years and I finally figured out what it was and am taking baby steps back to health. That right there gets me out of bed every single day!
By the way how are YOU doing girlie??

I'm having some good days when my symptoms are much better for a good portion of the day.
I have just started pulsing Tinidazole and hoping it will help.
Slow and steady for me - Ive given up on expecting BIG changes...

hey any progress is something to feel good about
it!! I think we all should give up on BIG changes and we wouldn't be so disapointed week after week.

Oh ya!! He is also putting me on heparin. A blood thinner for the weird veins in my legs. Possible clots :(

This is great news, IHL!
I really like the idea of breaks. My doctor had me pulsing abx for about
six months, and a lot of bugs were killed.
