Hi,
I am on several different herbs via a tea from my doctor. One of the herbs is HH, boy does it taste terrible. So I have been taking this religiously for a little over a month. I am off of antibiotics at this point in my treatment. Is it possible to have a herx from something you have been on for over a month?

Have you increased your dose during this time? Did you experience a ramping up up your symptoms?

I have read people herxing after 3 weeks...so I would think it could happen after 4 weeks. My concern would be if it's not a herx, your symptoms are progressing...ie. treatment not working.

Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will chime in.
My herxes early on were on about day 4, but with the tinidazole, I'm experiencing them on the second day now.

HI Girlie, no I have not increased my dose during this time. I did experience a ramping up of symptoms, but it is like a roller coaster. Up one day and down the next. Some days stand out as increased symptoms for sure.

My hope is that these increases in symptoms are a herx. I have not returned to my prior symptom load, but it has been up and down.

I am not sure if these symptoms are toxins leaving my system, a herx or treatment not working. I wish I had a Chrystal ball to tell me what is going on.

I tried houttuynia tincture last month. At the 3-4 week point, I started to herx. I was fine until then.

Utahgal, thanks for replying to this. Makes me feel better. I hope that is what this is. It does not feel at all like the herxes I had on abx. Those were intense and flu like. This is different.

Houttuynia is pretty powerful. It took me 3 doses before I started to herx, but they were nasty and relentless. I only lasted a week before I started an abx protocol.

Are you detoxing consistently?

I am detoxing some. I dry brush daily, drink at least 1 lemons worth of lemon water and take something from my NP daily. I should probably do more.

I went off the herbals for a week and all the herx symptoms went away.

You could always try an herbal "holiday" for a week and then see how you feel. It really is no different than pulsing abx when you think about it.
