Test results back..can someone tell me what this means?

My test results came back..I've already showed someone on here and want to know what everyone thinks.

39 is highly specific for Lyme per the Lyme experts so if you are reactive to it then I think you would definately be postive for Lyme according to ILADS.

58 unknown but may be a heat-shock Bb protein

60 cross reactive for all Borrellia

66 cross-reactive for all Borrelia, common in all bacteria

83 specific antigen for the Lyme bacterium, probably a cytoplasmic membrane

93 unknown, probably the same protein in band 83, just migrates differently in some patients

An IgM positive test result means more recent & likely currently active infection.

IgG positive means previous exposure to the bacteria or older infection of Lyme.

While I use a different site to help interpret the WB results(www.reocities.com/HotSprings/Oasis/6455/western-blot.txt), I also say that you have a positive result.

While band 39 is the only band that is reactive for you that is Lyme specific for the Bb, sensu stricto(strictest sense of Lyme - as in one strain), Band 58 possibly indicates Borrelia Afzelii another strain of Lyme that produces these symptoms.

Band 41 indicates the tail of the bacteria, which can cross react with other Borrelia species as well as other spirochetal infections including things like Relapsing Fever, Pintas and Yaws and syphilis.
