Not to hijack - but could someone describe air hunger in really simple terms? Is it simply getting out of breath?
For me air hunger was a feeling of never having enough air in my lungs, as if I was starving for oxygen - no matter how deep of a breath I took or how much deep breathing I did. There was no "exertion" during those days for me!! LOL! So it was just a daily/nightly thing.
If I tried to walk more than 15 yards, I was having to sit down to 'catch my breath' - even though it didn't help much. I would feel more weak and unsteady, so it emphasized the 'feeling' of not getting enough oxygen.
Thankfully, the intense issues didn't last too terribly long for me. I believe it was only for about
3 months.
