BTW, this is the plant that is used to make Pinella! So before you fork a lot of money, why not try to do it yourself? Buhner tells you how, and also, if you look at the ingredients on Amazon, you can figure out the exact way to make it before you spend the $20 bucks for a little bottle :) I hope this helps someone! I am going to plant a few seeds to see if I can grow it. I think I will love this plant :) I hope you do too :)

So maybe, just maybe, I am dealing with these terrible diseases in my kids just to find out how wonderful God is in more ways that I could have ever imagined, how a plant that looks like a weed can be just what someone needs, without forking money for treatment and dangerous antibiotics. If I would have seen it in my garden, I would have pulled it out and throw it away! Geez, how further away are we really from the Earth we are on? Certainly, I would not be otherwise at 2:40 Am in the morning on the internet looking up plants, if my children wouldn't be sick!

Yes, quite a little plant! I think I saw it before, but so many plants look similar, so I can't be sure, unless I smell the seeds. I have the seeds not, so at least I know what to look for. I'm going to put some in a pot, maybe I can grow it, too.

I got the seeds from Mountain Herb and I think I will plant some to see what happens.

I didn't read much of Buhner, I skipped straight to the plants and their descriptions and how to tincture. But I will get to it one of these days! So far, there is not enough time in the day and night for me to do everything and read everything I want to. I have less time now, since my son is doing cyber school due to his health issues.

But from what I've read, I do like his philosophy. I've read about Jap knotweed somewhere else as being regarded as invasive plant. Like I said, I feel like we really need to find our roots into the earth rather than living parallel to it. I've had this philosophy for a few years, and it doesn't surprise me because I grew up on a farm. I sort of got lost into the city life since my mid teens and didn't appreciate what the earth has to offer (including its healing products) until a few years ago. Dr. K has a similar philosophy, that's why I admire him so much.

Wow, lyme epidemic right next to the jap knotweed! The earth has a way of balancing things, doesn't it? You should make that info highly classified because I may just come and visit you ;)

Oh, and don't worry about me gardening too much LOL I usually "kill" everything I touch LOL But I am always willing to try--I don't give up easily.

Yes, everything is super expensive if you add it all up, and I am trying to make my own tinctures because I believe 3 of my children are infected, and this would get to be outrageously expensive. So I buy some products that I can't make and I make the rest that I can easily make.

I keep forgetting to call nutramedix to find out what exactly they use: the seed, the whole aerial plant, or the whole plant including the root. They say they use the bark, but I am not sure if that means they use only the root or the seed in a powder form? Maybe? Also, from the link I gave above, it seems the preparation is quite different for different medical conditions, so it serves as a good guide depending on what one wants to use the plant for.
