I don't know for sure which ones to claim. I've been bit in each of these states and have had symptoms increase or have a new set of symptoms that would have indicated a different infection:

Idaho, California, Arizona, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Arkansas.

I was born in California and spent quite a bit of my childhood between Cal. and Idaho - but I've lived in Arkansas the longest (20 years and counting).

It's either Illinois or Michigan. And if it's Illinois, it's probably downtown Chicago, since that's where I live and spend almost all my time! Hard to believe you'd get it in a big city...goes against everything you hear.

On Maui, HI as a kid. For sure.

Possibly reinfected in TX (they have a new strain called B. Lonestari for the Lone Star State!) or NYC recently, but I don't buy the whole "recent" infection thing via IgM testing. HI symptoms are simply "active" again.

I was bitten in a state of bliss and quickly moved to a state of misery and confusion (ba dump dump)

I had tick bites in NY, VA, MA, PA, and NC all in a years time.

If I had to guess, it would be Hyannis Mass. We went camping here after a recording gig about 16 years ago and spent the next day picking 87 ticks off of our 3 dogs, 12 off myself, and 5 off my wife. I still get the heeby geebies thinking about the huge pile of ticks we had laying on the ground that we lit on fire. I don't think camping at Hyannis will ever be on our agenda again.
