I was given some abx for strep throat on Monday (augmentin 875 bid) and today I am feeling rough.

Fasiculations
Weakness in arms and legs
Headache
Shaking hands
Concentration issues
Grouchy as hell

I have the above symptoms normally except not this intense, is this a herx related to abx? I am hoping it is. This would point away from my als dx that I was given and give credance to my lyme dx, right? confused

You should get into an LLMD with an ALS diagnosis for sure!!

Sailorkim - that sure sounds like a herx to me. I started a new med on monday and 3 days later I start herxing with all the symptoms you describe. Welcome to the club!

I am seeing a llmd. He says no als but was dx'd by top neuro. I will believe llmd I am thinking in this situation.
I am hoping this is a herx that would add more credance to llmd saying this was lyme.

I know "Yeah" is hard to digest but compared to ALS and some other diseases at least lyme is treatable. It's just hard to be thankful when your herxing:)

I am thankful it means lyme

There is hope to get better, that's all that matters.

I will take it. Ask me again In two weeks if I Changed my mind😜
