Buhner also recommends 1st Chinese Herbs but I don't see a Houttuynia on their website.

What about Nutramedix Houttuynia? I have to place an order with iHerb for some other things and they sell Nutr brand Hout.

I searched and found a thread - Mister Mike suggested Sage Woman Herbs and Elk Mountain herbs for sources.

So I went to Sage Woman herbs site and beside the Houttuynia tincture there is a picture of a camera instead of a picture of the tincture....wondering what it means.... They're out of stock... Or they haven't taken a picture of it yet. confused

I will try and order it - how do I know if it's equivalent strength as the Woodland Essence tinctures?

Jackie - I still don't see a tincture of Hout on 1st Chinese herbs website - I forgot to mention that I only want the tincture.

1st Chinese Herbs doesn't sell the tincture of Houttuynia, which is why you couldn't find it, Girlie. It wasn't you at all!

aghghghg! I ended up placing three different orders last night - yup three shipping charges to Canada.

Woodland Essence for my Sida, Crypto, Hawthorne tinctures.
Sage Woman for my Houttuynia
iHerb for my Pinella and some Ornithine (for hubby).

I could have bought Nutramedix Houttuynia at iHerb, and saved on one shipping charge,but wasn't sure about that brand.

Then, after all that, I got email confirmation from Sage Woman and iHerb about the orders...but not Woodland Essence. Went back to website, can't find my order...so emailed them and haven't heard back yet....

I have Plum Flower brand in a sealed bag bought at a retail store.

You can get nutramedix on amazon, all of the stuff for cowden protocol. I got my pinella and samento from there.

Hi Mike,
Petty good. I'm going to post a bigger update soon. After a year of being severely ill, I'm having some better days. Not back to normal yet though. I check in every day here, but I'm able to do a little more so my days are a little busier and I don't post as much.

My body can't handle as much as some people here so I don't have much to offer but I'm finding luck rotating through very small amounts of different herbals. Plus, I'm dirt poor so I've gone a little rogue with my own protocol. Thanks to lyme, can't even afford a LLND these days!

Hey Louise! Glad to hear you're having some better days!

I could have ordered Nutramedix Hout from iHerb, but I wasn't sure about that one source because Buhner doesn't mention it. I wasn't sure if it was just Hout in it, or if there were other ingredients.

MM - Yes I use pinella. It's the one thing that I have noticed a difference - I don't take it daily, I take it as needed - when I'm feeling lousy - nerve-wise.
I don't know if it helps with any brain stuff (although it should as it's a brain-nerve cleanse) - but it does help when my nerve issues flair (nerve pain, vibrations) - symptomatic relief.
