Weirdest Symptoms?

Feeling drugged. everything looking like it's really far away. Seeing 10 of everything and spinning like I'm drunk. My heart feeling like it's fluttering like a hummingbird. Electric shock pain through my spine making me immobile for 24 hours than all the sudden being fine. My pupils being 2 different sizes. Strange rashes that come and go within minutes. Arms and legs going numb and vibrating for weeks at a time with extreme weakness then stopping in an instant. Severe constipation proven by X ray despite going multiple times a day. Jaw locking up and getting too tired to chew food.

I think those are the weirdest ones....

While I don't have these weird symptoms any more (thank goodness), I've had:

frozen feeling in face, parts of face or entire head
"buggy" feelings (like bugs are crawling on my skin)
ocular migraine without the headache (my worse one made me feel like I was at a laser light show lol)
sense of fluid retention in my legs

I've experienced a total of at least 30 different symptoms (not all at the same time) since starting treatment but, they are the more common ones. After being on abx for 5 months and now Cowden, my baseline symptoms are buzzing/humming sensations and poking/tapping sensations that come and go.

It gets better....it just takes a loooonnngggg time

My most disturbing symptom is the vibrations in the body. It is awful, and makes me feel like this one is something serious...because it's nervous system related...I get worried it will be permanent.
And they change. For the first several months it was a buzzing, vibrating, and now sometimes it's different, it feels like a big truck motor inside my body - lower frequency then the buzzing. I don't even try to explain it to the Dr. Can you imagine? The men in the white jackets would be outside waiting to take me to the ward.

What's very weird and I don't think anyone else describes this...but in late afternoon, early evening, the vibrations ramp up, and along with them, my nerve pain on my left shoulder blade, left arm and hand ramps up...and it's worse when I'm sitting down. If I don't sit down, it's not nearly as bad.

I also get the sensation of my pulse in my head....almost like I can feel my heart beat in my head.

cd 3764 - do you vibrations/humming happen every day and for most of the day? Mine are everyday...and they drive me crazy.


So, does someone win a prize for the most bizarre, disturbing symptoms?...lol

One of my "weirdest" symptoms (maybe not serious, but weird) is belching. I've only met a few Lyme peeps who have had this symptom as well. They attributed it to Bart and said it eventually went away after treatment. My LLMD says yeah, he has seen this...but it still seems weird to me. It was one of my first indicators something was wrong.

I used to have what I called internal vibrations and they were mostly confined to my left knee....sometimes my left ankle and, occasionally, my right ankle. It felt like a cell phone was vibrating in those areas.

The vibrations happened every day and would come and go throughout the day.

As my treatment continued, they "improved" to buzzing sensations.....and I developed poking sensations. Both types of sensations were then happening in the lower part of both legs.

Things have since "improved" and the sensations are milder....that's why I mention humming/tapping. I'd say the frequency has diminished ever-so-slightly....and they are still happening in the lower part of both legs. Every now and again (not daily), I'll get a poke/tap in my butt - it's weird lol

I still have the sensations every day and they are worse (or more noticeable) when I'm sitting and most definitely in the evening.

They come and go......and they do get worse (intensity and frequency) for a couple of hours after my Cowden antimicrobial doses. Taking the Cowden detox tinctures often brings me to an ever-so-slightly better baseline.....until the next antimicrobial dose lol

There have been times when I was herxing that I'd feel full-body buzzing (to me, vibrations are a more intense version of buzzing lol). It is definitely unsettling but I know it means stuff is being killed....

Overall, things are getting better but, soooooooo slowly.

I've been sharing *all* of my symptoms with my LLMD and he hasn't been surprised although it's been amusing to watch the expression on his face lol

I think the weirdest thing for me is more of a side effect, than an everyday symptom. I can't take oral antibiotics because I completely stop going to the bathroom while on them. I get extremely constipated. My doctor just can't figure it out. A lot of other symptoms seem weird to me, but I usually don't know how to explain them. Lately I have been feeling like I am on a roller coaster (almost like motion sickness in my head) except I am not moving. Or I get the feeling that you get in your stomach when you are on a roller coaster, but it is in my head and I am in the car. I also space out A LOT, but I can move my eyes around and I can't get out of it.

I get seizure like symptoms that get triggered worse by noise, light, and touch. Weirdest part of these seizures are that I can hear, see, feel, and talk to people while it's happening! I have absolutely no control of my face or body during these episodes. I look like a fish out of water, and I sound like like a squirrel with the mouth noises i make...oh and my stepmom says I look like I have bunny disease because my nose doesn't stop twitching during as this.

Other weird symptoms for me would be this annoying tense, tight rope feeling that i get in my throat. I hate it. It's always worse at night. It feels like i need to swallow a golf ball...but nothing is there! I can't have anything touch my throat or remotely even go near it or it gets worse. I can't even wear a neckless.

Heartbeat in my throat, my ear, my stomach, and my brain...gets worse with stress of course...I've been told this is due to Babesia. Feels like my heart is going to rip out of my body and hit the ceiling gosh!!!

Another weird one is not being able to keep my head still...use to be embarrassing. Gets worse with stress of course. I get the "NO NO'S" especially while trying real hard to keep my head still...eg...while trying to eat. Hate it!

My weirdest symptoms would be the things that go on in my mind and my "clumsiness"
I always get my lefts and rights confused now. In my head I know that Im referring to the right but I will still say left. I also find it very hard to find words or remember what I leave a room for whenever I go get something. I have been putting my shoes on the wrong foot lately (which makes me cry because I KNOW I've been putting them on the right way for years & poof! Lyme fogs all of that up.) Lastly, my clumsiness. I live in a two story house... My legs are failing me a lot lately causing me to fall down my steps :/

My Lyme disease came back after remission and is worse than ever. I've suffered since 2006. Had a bf that had Lyme and was "cured", got LD six months into our relationship. No tick bite. STD?

My worst symptoms are chronic sinusitis with chronic ear infection- feeling of something "stuck" in ear/throat area. Was helped by Diamox (sp.?) years ago but now I'm without a LLD.
Numbness on right side of body- muscle tremors, weakness, twitching. Horrible headaches and stiff neck.
Horrible sweating and night sweats. Soaking clothing now daily. It's awful!
Brain fog. Feel like I can't formulate complex thought. Going back to grad school has been very challenging. ADD symptoms. Autistic-type symptoms- total brain involvement after 8 years.

I have disabling anxiety but try and work through it. Extreme sound sensitivities and crowds feel like I'm not there (drugged feeling but not), panic attacks. Don't go out much anymore.
Sentence formation/word finding issues. Writing challenges. Bizarre mistakes like letter omission and not finishing thoughts.
Anger issues/ always on edge - cranky
Chronic fatigue that puts me to bed by 8:00 but I sleep 14 hours if not working.
My job is harder due to anxiety, brain issues, fatigue, and speech issues that are getting worse. I also like to be active and Lyme makes it harder to run- always injured- Levaquin destroyed tendons.
I was great on meds years ago but needed a break from constant antibiotics and the yeast issues. My doc moved to DC also. Now I'm without a doctor and meds and sick again. I feel good on the antibiotics when I get another sinus infection. The fatigue stops and my head clears from its fog. Lyme disease is no fun!
