Why do my legs hurt so much?

Out of nowhere, all my leg muscles started to hurt. This isn't nerve pain, it's muscle pain. What causes that, and what can I do about it? I'm ok sitting still, but stairs and hills are the worst, and walking's not great.

It's the calf, front thigh, and back leg muscles that are affected. How am I going to walk the dogs and go up and down the stairs??

Def. need help with this one.

My son gets that a lot too. Do you feel any bumps in your legs in the places that hurts? We had our first LLMD apointment for him last week and the LLMD said that Barto causes this, so he is testing him for Lyme and barto with igenex bec. his labcorp test this year and quest diagnostics test last year were negative. He got bit and got the bulls eye rash in fall 2013. Treated for lyme for 1 mo with doxy which obviously wasn't enough.

So I agree with Healing, I think barto is your enemy that's causing muscle pain. DId you treat for barto? Are your soles sore?

I've had pain in my feet before; can't remember if it was the soles or the heel.

The skin on my soles is all cracked.

I've had the streak like rashes for years, and I've had some leg pain before, but NEVER this bad. So far, I've only gotten as far as the Lauricidin (2-3 pellets) and 3 drops of Cryptolepsis.

Do either of those even treat Bart, or is it just flaring?

I'm also having the stupid hot sweats again, and have lost my Malarone.

I think the herx-o-meter just hit a 10 if it really is a herx, which I kind of hope it is.

That's funny that you're using the term herx-o-meter Girlie, bc there is a local celebrity meteorologist who runs a website calls --y's Weather, and he uses a snowman-o-meter, and if a little snow is forecast, you see a little snowman at the bottom of the screen, and if a big snow is forecast, then he posts a giant snowman.

Still, do you think that's what it is, or do either of those even target Bart? Yes, I'm taking Magnesium, and I just started some Potassium, not knowing what else to do. Also just started Deplin; I REALLY hope that helps with herxing?

Treating with CSA tincture (which includes cryptolepis) induced large muscle pain (especially in the thighs) for our daughter. Other herx symptoms included air hunger, sighing, dry cough, chest pressure. Our LLMD clinically diagnosed babesia from these symptoms.

These were all symptoms never involved in the bartonella herxing she experienced while undergoing bartonella abx treatment. Her bartonella symptoms mainly involved bone pain (shins, forearms, skull), neurological (tingling, incontinence, ticcing, hallucinations) and psychological (raging, frustration, OCD) symptoms.

I would have to say babesia/protozoan infection.

Omg i just started having the same issue but mine starts in my hip and is in my IT band and quad. My muscles are tight, bulging, and painful. I was walking up to 1 mile and now can hardly make it thru the grocery. I cry to my husband " how am i going to walking my dogs?" Mine started when i started Rifampin. I havent had treatmemt for Bart yet. I stopped the rifampin because of the pain but it wont ease up. Wondered if i just stirred up the Bart and shouldnt have stopped rifampin. I have tried 2 sessions of acupuncture which did offer temporary relief. Stretching and having my husband pull on my legs offers some relief also. Sorry to hear other people going thru this. Its miserable!

I also use a softer rubber ball aroumd 4 " diameter when the tennis ball and deep tissue work is too much. It gently releases the connective tissue to help the muscles loosen up. It helps a lot.
