Lyme Testing in New Jersey/New York

Hi all,

Does anyone know if there is a lab similar to IGeneX that tests for Lyme and co-infections in the NJ/NY area?  I have a friend that wants to send blood work there but does not want to send it all the way to cali and would like results quicker.  Your help will be really appreciated.

I know my LLMD sent my blood work to Stonybrook University Lab out on Long Island.

Igenex and Stony Brook Labs are the only reliable ones to use. I don't know as much about Stony Brook labs and their processes, but I know that some well known LLMD's use them.

Our LLMD sent my son's lab work to Mercy Diagnostics

He only tested for coinfections though. My son had blood work from 2010 from average labs that was VERY positive.

My LLMD used Stoney Brook for me initially. However, it came up negative overall and the IGenex was overall positive.

I had the same experience. Stoney Brook came up negative and Igenex was a very strong positive. You can try Stoney Brook, but my LLMD sends to Igenex as well because those are the only results he trusts. It's worth the 3 week wait for results.

Another option is Infecto lab in Germany. My LLMD says it's even better than IGenex. It uses different technology, not the typical antibody response.

I paid out of pocket. about the same cost as IGenex.....depending on how many things you are testing for.

The results were directly emailed to ME by the lab! I think it only took about 8-9 days to get the results.
