All I know is I read it supports T cells in your immune system.

I would like to know also. My daughters LLMD has it listed for me to get for her. I thought is was less important so I'm getting it later. So many things she listed, I just get what I can each week until I have it all. :) Must be useful though.

I am currently taking Transfer Factor Plasmyc. My LLMD said it was immune support, so she started me with one pill in the morning and then upped me to two. I honestly can't tell if it's helping or not. It is pricey though. I was researching to see what other people say, but I haven't been able to find much on it.

Dose your llmd use the not-so-reliable CD-57 test every few months for monitoring?

If so, do you see CD-57 killer cell levels rising from Transfer Factor?

To be honest, I don't think my LLMD ever ordered the CD-57 test. At least I don't remember one. She decided to give me the transfer factor because I had asked to be switched to herbals. I was so tired of taking abx. She obliged and then did some muscle testing to decide which herbals to put me on. I tested well for the transfer factor so she put me on it. I haven't noticed any side effects or any effects really. I was beginning to wonder if it could be effecting my thyroid. My most recent TSH test was high. But My NP thought it was the chasteberry I was taking.

My ND has started to follow the Dr k protocols. He was with Dr k in February and is due for another (learning) visit soon.
He started me on researched nutritionals transfer factors lyme plus and artemisinin solo approx 3 weeks ago. I have also just started on 1/2teaspoon x 3 daily of a mix of various herbs. My cd57 came in at 18 in April 2014 and 20 in January of 2015 after 6 mths of Cowden and 5 mths of Buhner.
Must admit to feeling really good since starting on the tf's. Will be interesting to see in a few months time what the cd57 comes in at, although someone mentioned something about c4a test being a better indicator.... Will have to do a search for that.
Still severe weight loss. Am about to try some l'glutamine for that. Was 132 lbs, now 92.5. Kind of scary.......
And yes tf's are very expensive, I agree........

The cd-57 and C4a are both used as lyme markers, but they are completely different in what they measure.

C4a is a type of infection marker indicative primarily in Lyme and Mold.

CD-57 measures levels of the immune systems natural killer cells which lyme disease and others things can lower.

Whats confusing is there are Natural Killer cells, T cells, and Natural Killer T cells. I'm not sure which one Tranfer Factor raises though.
