So it detects the outer surface protein of the spirochete. It didn't say anything about the cyst form. I wonder if this could lead to some inadequate treatment. Well, it's a move in the right direction!

Yeah, I don't know. Just looks like it's a better test than checking the protein bands the way we are checking them now.
