I dealt with anxiety before Lyme and was on Zoloft, it made me feel really good but I didn't like the idea of being on an SSRI for the rest of my life. I eventually weaned my self off it and was good for years ....until I got Lyme! I think increasing my probiotic helped me as well. My LLND recommended an herb you brew into a tea, its called Oat Straw or avena sativa. You can buy a huge 16oz bag on amazon for around $15 and it will last months and months.
I would have never found it on my own, I've honestly never heard of it. You just boil some water and add a tablespoon, let it steep and filter it out. You can make a glass of it whenever you need it, as much as you want. I didn't find it to be a miracle or anything but it helps you relax and takes the edge off anxiety off when you need it, and its affordable and natural so its a win win lol.
My husband and I drink it before bed and it helps us relax and sleep sounder.
