Has anyone been to Haverford Wellness Center in PA? I am not getting anywhere with my treatment so I was doing some research, but I am far from rich. Do you know if they take Highmark Blueshield insurance? And is the place any good? I am feeling desperate!

It specifically says on their website that they don't take insurance, I just googled it.

It sounds like they do not accept insurance, but you can submit the bill to your insurance and IF the insurance decides to reimburse you, your insurance company will send you a check.

Why do you feel desperate? What treatments did you try so far? I have got a lot of tips from people on this site, so maybe if you are more specific, you can get some help and suggestions on here. DId you try any herbs? What are your diagnostics? I am in PA and I considered them, and contacted them, but they seem expensive. I went to a LLMD in Lancaster and now I am taking my son there too. He only charges about $150 per visit. YOu can email me if you are interested. He only does abx--no herbals.

I remember when I first started suspecting Lyme and even after I was clinically diagnosed, I was looking around at treatment centers. I looked up Haverford, Holtorf Medical Group: Garabedian Clinic and every LLMD I could find within a 3 hour drive. I was shocked at how many didn't take insurance and how much they charged. I can't imagine paying $300- $600 an appointment.

My family thought I was crazy but I was able to find a couple of doctors that took insurance and better yet, treated Lyme. I'm not sure where you're located, but if your're interested I'll send you the name of my LLMD located in Glenside. She takes insurance and treats with both pharmaceuticals and/or herbals.

What sort of treatment are you on right now?

I am seeing an LLMD right now I just don't feel like I am getting anywhere. I have tried a few different antibiotics and my stomach just can't handle it. I have also tried an anti-parasitic and biofilm buster and I am now taking teasel root extract. I am still getting worse and my doctor doesn't know what else to do (what's new?). He really wanted me to get a PICC line, which is what I kind of thought would help from the beginning, but my tests aren't coming back positive so insurance won't pay for it. I was diagnosed with Lyme, Bartonella, and Babesia. I am going to see what happens at my next appointment, but I am getting discouraged because my body just can't handle anything. I had to stop getting the Vitamin C IV because it hurt to bad and my blood sugar dropped. I can't go to college until I get this figured out and I really don't want to let go of my dream yet (I want to be a Physical Therapist Assistant). If you could email me the doctor you see and I will look into it? I am going to have my dad look at out out of network policy (I am on my dad's insurance) and see if it is even possible for me to go to the Haverford Wellness Center. Thanks for the feedback.
